THE TRADE SHOW

FEEL SPORT MILANO
Active – Contemporary – Lifestyle

At the strategic business hub of Milan FEEL SPORT trade show offers a new meeting point between the leading brands of contemporary sportswear with the international multi-channel distribution system buyers.
The global sportswear market is expected to grow to more than 440 billion euros in the next two years, with an average growth of 8%. After gaining 6.3 billion euros in 2023 (over 14% more than in 2020), the global sales of the sportswear sector expect a compound annual growth rate of 4% over the next 5 years.
Sport has naturally become part of people's daily routine, thanks to the growing need of well-being, healthy life and a new culture of beauty and physical fitness.
Spending on sports goods and services is growing, thanks to the increase in public investments which drive the participation in sports in European countries.
These factors also get impact on the growth of the sportswear business.
The most popular outdoor sports today are: hiking, trekking, tennis, padel and cycling. Snowshoes and cross-country skis, followed by mountaineering equipment (boots, skis and bindings) have increased in sales.

The FEEL SPORT MILANO proposal points on five macro-trends that will renew the future of global sportswear:

Athleisure: the tendency to use more comfortable clothing also during traditionally formal contexts; a market segment where casualwear brands meet the technical know-how of the sportswear players.
Luxury sportswear: the interest for outdoor activities and mountain life among the luxury consumers is constantly growing; most of the big luxury brands has introduced sportswear collections into their proposals where sport meets fashion and everyday life.
Sustainability: the evolution of the consumer needs is the main growth driver for sportswear companies, and the request of sustainable and ethically manufactured products is growing among younger generations.
Women’s Activewear: with an important growth rate due to the increase in health awareness and to the interest by worldwide women in fitness and wellness activities such as gym, sport and yoga.
Sneakers: nowadays used to complete informal and as well as formal outfits, are supposed to rise by 20% by 2025, exceeding 80 billion of sales.
